Homemade Jello (Gelatin) Recipes (2)It's light and yummy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 (6 oz.) box lemon jello (during the holidays, cranberry jello works well)
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • Advertisem*nt

  • 1 (16 oz.) can of crushed pineapple

Directions:

In a large bowl, make jello according to package directions. Add cream cheese and mix on medium speed with an electric mixer. Stir in pineapple and refrigerate until firm.

The cream cheese will come to the top and the pineapple and jello will form 2 other layers. This is our family's favorite dish that my mom made every holiday.

Question: Jello Recipe with Cherry Pie Filling?

Robin
Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 5,887Posts

December 19, 2005

I used to have a great recipe for the holidays that I seem to have misplaced. It was a Jello recipe that actually uses cherry pie filling in it. Does anyone happen to have it or to know where I can find it again? It was a favorite of ours and it's just disappeared. I'd be grateful for any help I can get.

Thanks in advance!

My grandma used to make one with two boxes of cherry jello. You soft-set the jello (it should be thick but still liquidy) then whip with a mixer, stir in cherry pie filling and mini marshmallows, then back into the fridge to hard set.

Scoop into bowls and serve with whipped cream. The top will be fluffy (almost meringuey) with most of the marshmallows and the bottom will be more jello-y with the all the cherries in it.
